While playing in the attic of their house, Ali discovers a door. As he tries to open it, he uses a bunch of keys he finds in a dusty chest. When the door opens, the attic fills with wind, making it hard to see. Ali passes through the door and finds himself in the Land of the Rainbow. Upon entering the Land of the Rainbow, he meets Mi. Mi lives in the Land of the Rainbow and is protecting the “Blue Book,” which Badabom is trying to seize.

Badabom and his henchmen, Kat and Küt, are constantly causing trouble. Badabom’s goal is to get hold of the Blue Book, which contains all the knowledge of the earth. To achieve this, he makes life difficult for the inhabitants of the Land of the Rainbow and creates problems. Ali decides to help Mi and the residents of the Land of the Rainbow. He frequently travels through the attic door to the Land of the Rainbow to solve the problems caused by Badabom and help protect the book alongside Mi. While battling Badabom, Ali benefits from the knowledge in the Blue Book. Sometimes they help the king of the Land of the Rainbow who doesn’t know how to float his sunken ship, sometimes a scientist trying to fly, and other times a doctor trying to understand why people get sick—all with the guidance of the Blue Book, ultimately defeating Badabom.
